To help offset the costs of pack-sponsored events that are provided at no cost throughout the year, each Cub Scout is expected to participate in one fundraiser to support the entire year of Scouting.  The "Popcorn Sale Campaign" is an officially approved council unit money-earning project that many packs and troops participate in each year.  The fundraiser begins in late August or early September.
